Gene expression analysis of 80 breast cancer tissues revealed that SLC7A5 expression is positively correlated with the expression of the proliferation marker Ki-67 and the hypoxia-inducible factor Hif1α, indicating a connection between SLC7A5 expression, breast cancer cell proliferation, and tissue hypoxia (Tornroos et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene SLC7A5 and breast cancer.
