PRNP and lung carcinoma: To the best of our knowledge, this study is the first to uncover a novel regulatory mechanism in which miR-193b-3p suppresses lung cancer metastasis by directly targeting the PRNP gene, and, for the first time, reveals that c-Jun transcriptionally represses miR-193b-3p, resulting in the upregulation of PRNP (Fig. 7).
