CRP and uremia: The comparison between changes in all the participants after FMD cycles combined (FMD->Control + Control->FMD) and Control->FMD participants at the end of the control diet (control diet T1) highlighted a significant (p < 0.01) decrease in leptin, IGF-1, total cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides (TGs), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP), serum glucose, insulin, HOMA-IR, AST, ALT, uremia, and serum creatinine, whereas a significant (p < 0.01) increase was found in ghrelin and HOMA %S (Table S2; Figure 2).
