First, this study focused exclusively on patients with RRMS; thus, it would be essential to assess these CNS autoimmune biomarkers in other CNS demyelinating diseases such as Neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD) and Myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody disease (MOGAD) and other MS subtypes, such as primary progressive MS and secondary progressive MS, to determine whether similar patterns are present across the spectrum of the disease. This evidence concerns the gene MOG and relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis.
