The association of the five genes CEACAM5, POSTN, TCN1, SCGB3A1, and CPA3 with asthma has been extensively identified and validated, and these are the most highly upregulated genes in patients with asthma (27–31), and CEACAM5 is associated with resting mast cells and eosinophils (32). Here, CEACAM5 is linked to asthma.
