Consistent with our findings, a recent study demonstrated that the ErbB4 receptor mediates the therapeutic effects of Ginsenoside Rd (G-Rd) by activating the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway, thereby inhibiting cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury (CIRI)-induced ferroptosis in cerebral vascular endothelial cells (Hu et al., 2024). The gene discussed is AKT1; the disease is brain ischemia.
