In a study published in Stroke, it was found that the left temporal AVMs impairs IFOF and ILF (ventral pathways), and that ventral pathways in the right hemisphere (ATR and UF) may be more important for reorganization; the left parietal AVMs impairs the left AF, IFOF, and ILF (dorsal and ventral pathways), and that the reorganised ventral pathways (right ATR, UF, and right IFOF) may be involved in the reconstruction of new language networks (Deng et al., 2022). This evidence concerns the gene FOXK2 and stroke disorder.
