TIMP2 and acute kidney injury: The high proportion of healthy pregnant women with urinary [TIMP-2] × [IGFBP7] >0.3 ng/ml2/103, which would suggest a high risk of development of AKI stage 2 or 3 in non-pregnant individuals, indicates that a higher threshold for prediction of AKI using urinary [TIMP-2] × [IGFBP7] may be needed in pregnancy.
