CSN6 binds to FBXW7β and FASN, antagonizing FBXW7β activity by enhancing FBXW7β self-ubiquitination and degradation. This prevents FBXW7β-mediated ubiquitination and degradation of FASN, thereby positively regulating lipogenesis and promoting colorectal cancer growth. This evidence concerns the gene COPS6 and colorectal cancer.
