The use of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), which target programmed cell death 1, programmed cell death-ligand 1, and cytotoxic T lymphocyte-associated protein 4 (CTLA4), has achieved success in a number of malignancies ranging from non-small-cell lung cancer, bladder cancer, renal cancer, and melanoma [2]. Here, CTLA4 is linked to urinary bladder cancer.
