To determine whether an alteration in NFKBIA translation was involved in the discrepancy between its messenger and protein levels, we treated B-CLL cells ex vivo with Rohinitib, an inhibitor of the eukaryotic translation initiation factor eIF4A1, which is overexpressed in CLL cells (Figure 2A) [17].
