To understand why MAP4K4 expression is associated with MSI-GC aggressiveness, we compared biological pathway signatures between MAP4K4high and MAP4K4low tumors, finding that extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, cellular signaling, immune response, and other processes were upregulated in MAP4K4high tumors. This evidence concerns the gene MAP4K4 and gastric cancer.
