Based on a recent revision, loss of CD1d expression promotes tumorigenesis in the context of chronic myeloid, leukemia, cervical cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, prostate cancer, and pancreatic cancer, whereas in breast cancer, thyroid cancer, glioblastoma, medulloblastoma, and renal cancer, gain of CD1d expression promotes tumorigenesis [14]. This evidence concerns the gene CD1D and cervical cancer.
