Consequently, a clinical study (NCT02822326) was conducted, where the previously mentioned findings were supported by observation that CAR T-cells with incorporated Toll/interleukin-1 receptor domain of TLR2 (i.e., 1928zT2 CAR T-cells) were able to cause complete remission in three relapsed patients with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL), who were all resistant to conventional modes of treatment. This evidence concerns the gene TLR2 and acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
