In the case of HCC (0 h), FGF19 levels were 5.9-fold higher in males than in the control group, while in females, they were 8.9-fold higher compared to the control group; whereas 24 h after transplantation, in the HCC group, the FGF19 level was 1.6-fold higher in men and 3-fold higher in women compared to the control group (Figure 4B). This evidence concerns the gene FGF19 and hepatocellular carcinoma.
