To evaluate the potential of both insert-like and ToC systems as preclinical models for testing anticancer therapies, we replicated a previous in vivo published experiment, wherein BC xenografts were treated with the PARP inhibitor olaparib in combination with dinaciclib, a cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) inhibitor with an indirect effect on RAD51 [30]. The gene discussed is RAD51; the disease is breast cancer.
