CRP and metabolic syndrome: Further, post hoc group comparisons revealed that the pooled LOW-HIIT and 1-RT group achieved significantly greater reductions in systolic blood pressure (−6 mmHg, p = 0.025), diastolic blood pressure (−5 mmHg, p = 0.011), MAB (−5 mmHg, p = 0.009), CRP (−1.9 g/L, p = 0.031), hsCRP (−1.8 g/L, p = 0.024), triglycerides (−22 mg/dL, p = 0.046), and the MetS z-score (−1.9 units, p < 0.001), and significantly greater increases in HDL (+3 mg/dL, p = 0.015), respectively, compared to the pooled LOW-HIIT and WB-EMS group.
