Seven hundred and thirty-seven genes had a P-value for association of less than 0.05; these genes were selected for additional analysis in the UKB data in addition to candidate genes ATM, BARD1, CHEK2, FANCM, MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, PMS2, RAD51B, SLX4, TIPARP and TP53 which have previously been confirmed or suggested as ovarian cancer susceptibility genes [1–3, 29]. This evidence concerns the gene BARD1 and ovarian carcinoma.
