Median visual acuity (IQR) was 0.10 (0.14) LogMAR at the baseline assessment (i.e., the most recent visit showing evidence of intermediate AMD, occurring 0 to 90 days prior to detection of treatment-naïve neovascularization), 0.20 (0.20) LogMAR at the follow-up visit where treatment-naïve exudative MNV was first detected, and 0.20 (0.40) LogMAR at the 12-month follow-up visit after starting anti-VEGF therapy (P < 0.001 for all comparisons with baseline values). This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and age-related macular degeneration.
