Despite AZD2811NP being effective in treating both VP-MCC and VN-MCC xenograft tumors, the potency difference of AURKB inhibition observed in VP-MCC and VN-MCC cell lines suggests that tumor MCPyV status should be an analysis variable included in the design of trials translating AZD2811NP to the clinic.
