CCR7 and rheumatoid arthritis: TheCC chemokine receptor type 7 (CCR7) is a receptor specifically interactingwith the C–C motif chemokines CCL19 and CCL21.16 Its primary expression occurs in diverse lymphoid tissues.16,17 CCR7 plays a vital role in lymphocyte and dendritic cell (DC) homingto secondary lymphoid organs and has been recognized as a potentialtherapeutic target in diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, pathogenicinfections and lymph node metastasis.17 Consequently, there is a clinical demand for the discovery and characterizationof selective modulators capable of regulating CCR7 downstream signalingpathways.
