Forkhead box protein A2 (FOXA2) is considered a master regulator of YST formation, driving the reprogramming and differentiation of seminoma cells into YST-like cells through epigenetic mechanisms [31] and involving other transcription factors such as Sex-determining region Y-box 2 (SOX2) and SOX7, PReferentially expressed Antigen in Melanoma (PRAME), and Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 1β (HNF1β) [32–36]. Here, FOXA2 is linked to seminoma.
