Consistently, it significantly increased levels of the pro-inflammatory factors tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α, interleukin (IL)-1β and IL-6 (Figures 7E–G); it increased total cholesterol (T-CHO) level, indicating dyslipidemia; and it increased the level of malondialdehyde (MDA) but decreased total level of superoxide dismutase (T-SOD), indicating greater oxidative stress (Figures 7H–J).
