INS and Insulin resistance: Although no single variable was independently sufficient to differentiate specific diagnostic categories, the authors reported that together, measures of insulin, homeostatic model assessment for insulin resistance, aspartate aminotransferase, neutrophil counts, and triglycerides were the most important features for discriminating TBI + PTSD from healthy controls (area under the curve = 0.74, accuracy = 0.74, sensitivity = 0.64, specificity = 0.77).
