TNNT2 and Hypertension: Diabetic patients with higher hs-cTnT levels were older (52.5 to 66.9, P<0.0001), more likely to be male (35.3% to 66.6%, P<0.0001), had a higher proportion of non-Hispanic blacks (10.3% to 17.0%, P<0.0001), had a higher proportion with education levels below high school (27.4% to 36.2%, P<0.0001), and had a higher risk of accompanying hypertension and hypercholesterolemia (48.8% to 75.2%, 54.1% to 60.3%, respectively, P<0.0001).
