Other pharmacological agents and natural compounds such as insulin, chlorogenic acid, dexmedetomidine, emodin, gastrodin, geniposide, ginsenoside Rh2, epigallocatechin gallate, astragaloside‐IV and tanshinone IIA provide an antipyroptotic effect in animal models of IHD mainly through the inhibition of the NLRP3 inflammasomes [47, 60, 68, 72, 84, 91, 117, 118, 119]. The gene discussed is NLRP3; the disease is myocardial ischemia.
