Upon alcohol consumption, PDE4 activity was significantly increased in 3xTg-AD mice; this was decreased by treatment with rolipram or A33, as shown in the 3xTg-AD + A + R and 3xTg-AD + A + A33 groups, respectively, relative to the 3xTg-AD + A group (Figure 6A). The gene discussed is PDE4A; the disease is Alzheimer disease.
