Against this background, the primary aim of our study was to investigate associations of body composition markers derived from classic anthropometry (BMI, body height and weight, WC, hip circumference, WHT and WHtR), bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA: absolute fat mass [FM], relative fat‐free mass [FFM]) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI: VAT, subcutaneous adipose tissue [SAT] and liver fat content) as well as inflammatory markers (CRP, WBC, fibrinogen, ferritin and CRP‐to‐albumin ratio) with T2D. This evidence concerns the gene ALB and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
