EFEMP2 and Alzheimer disease: The GSEA enrichment analysis results (Fig 8, S6 Table) show that in AD, EFEMP2’s high expression is mainly associated with inflammation and immune responses, such as complement and coagulation cascades, cytokine-cytokine receptor interaction, focal adhesion, hematopoietic cell lineage, jak-stat signaling pathway, and leukocyte transendothelial migration.
