Pooled results from the fixed-effects model (I2 = 0%, Tau2 = 0) showed that the risk of ocular hypertension following the treatment of DME with the combination of triamcinolone and anti-VEGF was significantly higher than with the therapy of anti-VEGF alone (RR 8.885, 95% CI 2.756 to 28.649, 95% PI 1.262 to 39.208) (Table 2 and Fig 3D). This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and ocular hypertension.
