We have previously demonstrated that chronic TNFSF10 immunoneutralization by means of a monoclonal antibody results in protective effects on β-amyloid neuronal toxicity in vitro (Cantarella et al. 2003), restores cognitive behavior (Cantarella et al. 2015), reduces Aβ and p-tau proteins accumulation and dampens the inflammatory processes both in the CNS and in the spleen of 3xTg-AD mice (Di Benedetto et al. 2019). This evidence concerns the gene TNFSF10 and Alzheimer disease.
