The nanomedicine was loaded with the CD47 inhibitor RRx-001 and the acoustic sensitizer IR780, and the two drugs were delivered to the tumor site to inhibit the proliferation and migration of osteosarcoma cells, reduce the expression of the “don’t-eat-me signal” on the surface of the tumor cells, and regulate the polarization of macrophages toward the anti-tumor M1 phenotype (Figure 8). This evidence concerns the gene CD47 and osteosarcoma.
