In a preclinical study on breast cancer cells with acquired CDK4/6 inhibitor (CDK4/6i) resistance, authors discovered a collateral sensitivity towards the Wee-1 inhibitor adavosertib, which specifically depleted only CDK4/6i-resistant but not CDK4/6i-sensitive cells in a co-culture setting [60]. This evidence concerns the gene CDK4 and breast carcinoma.
