ALB and diabetes mellitus: Patients who survived 5 years without recurrence were younger, less likely to be male, had lower rates of diabetes mellitus (DM), chronic kidney disease (CKD) stage ≥3, ischaemic heart disease (IHD), higher albumin levels and were more likely to be identified during screening but less likely to have undergone an emergency hemicolectomy (Supplementary Digital Content, Table 1, http://links.lww.com/JS9/D966).
