Gene expression analysis in lung squamous cell carcinoma showed a significant downregulation of DEL-1 and IL-6 and upregulation of CXCL13, suggesting the role of differential expression of these genes in lung carcinogenesis.11 Computational analysis using the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database (GSE172096 dataset) revealed that transmembrane protein (TMEM2), associated with higher-risk groups in pancreatic adenocarcinoma was strongly correlated with familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) gene, a cancer-associated fibroblast (CAF) marker.12 This evidence concerns the gene FAP and pancreatic adenocarcinoma.
