MYC and Burkitt lymphoma: According to the 2022 World Health Organization (WHO) 5th edition of lymphoma classification [3], the term HGBL includes cases with large B-cells different from Burkitt lymphoma (BL) and diffuse large B cell lymphoma, not otherwise specified (DLBCL, NOS), which are characterized by the presence of rearrangements involving the MYC, BCL2 or BCL6 genes, and 11q aberrations.
