As the administration of atezolizumab has shown significant activity as a single agent in NSCLC by blocking the PD-1–PD-L1 pathway (37), we would expect that its antitumor, immune checkpoint inhibition could be enhanced further via its direct binding to and activation of the PD-L1+ sIL15_TRACK NK cells as noted above.
