Unique genomic characteristics of human never-smoker lung cancer include somatic activating point mutations or fusions affecting EGFR (45%), anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK; 5–11%), ROS (1.5–6%), human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2; 3–5%) and rearranged during transfection (RET; 2%) (84).
