In this study with an expanded sample size of a total of 1,167,439 participants of European, African or Asian descent with 18 diverse neuropsychiatric disorders, and harmonized genetic marker sets, analytical methods, meta-analysis and FDR correction, we confirmed that alcoholism was still the most significant disease associated with SERINC2 variants in European descent among all neuropsychiatric disorders. This evidence concerns the gene SERINC2 and alcohol drinking.
