IL6 and inflammatory bowel disease: In this study, we found that two cycles of 2‐day IF treatment could reduce the histological damage in the colon, decrease CD4+ T cells proportion in the spleen and mesenteric lymph nodes, and lower the level of serum pro‐inflammatory cytokines IL‐1β, TNF‐α, and IL‐6, reducing the infiltration of leukocytes and macrophages around crypt bases, resulting in alleviating the symptoms and pathology of IBD in mice.
