Infection of neonatal mice with B. pertussis resulted in the significant recruitment of inflammatory monocytes (MHCII+Ly6C+CD11b+) and neutrophils (Ly6G+CD11b+) into the lungs (Figure 1C) and nasal tissue (Figure S2A) when assessed 6 and 15 days post-challenge with B. pertussis.
