We combined the genetic variants after validation in the UK Biobank cohort into a genetic risk score for depression and examined the association with depression and other co-morbid traits to evaluate its predictive ability and identified eight SNPs that were highly associated with depression corresponding to six protein-coding genes (DAG1, FHIT, BTN3A2, TNXB, LTBP3, NCAM1). Here, TNXB is linked to major depressive disorder.
