Through our analysis, we identified patient-specific gene expression patterns, and patient-differentiating genes such as RAD51, BRCA2, TAGLN, PDGFB, and F2RL1. These genes were part of larger identified gene subsets affecting key PAH-associated pathways such as cell cycle and DNA repair, mesenchymal transition, inflammatory response, extracellular matrix organization, and TNFα signaling. Here, BRCA2 is linked to pulmonary arterial hypertension.
