Laboratory tests showed pancytopenia (white blood cells: 1,100/mm3, hemoglobin: 8.1 g/dl with MCV: 85, platelets: 44,000/mm3) with an elevated ferritin (2,000 ng/ml), triglycerides (387 mg/dl), aspartate transaminase (AST) (190 IU/l), gamma glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT) (121 IU/l), alkaline phosphatase (ALP) (636 IU/l), c-reactive protein (CRP) (388 mg/l) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) (72 mm/h), with a low fibrinogen level (1 g/l). Here, CRP is linked to Pancytopenia.
