Over the past years, the proteins HIF1A (Semenza 2000; Melillo 2006), EPAS1 (Petrella and Brinckerhoff 2009; Wigerup et al. 2016; Singhal et al. 2019), and VEGFA (Terme et al. 2013; English et al. 2017; Yang et al. 2018) have been shown to be eligible targets for anti-tumor therapies.
