IL10 and autoimmune disease: -Modulates immune activation by regulating T cell proliferation and Treg function. Its expression has been linked to modulating the severity of autoimmune diseases and inflammatory responses. Contributes to the maintenance of immune tolerance and immune suppression. -The expression of CD101 on myeloid cells induces the release of IL-10 and TGF-β, but has no effect on the release of inflammatory cytokines. A (relative) lack of CD101 signals promotes the expansion of T cells and the induction of an inflammatory cytokine profile (105).
