Our analysis of human prostate tumor samples (n = 160) revealed that the levels (H-scores) of mitochondrial KMT9α and DLAT K596me1 were significantly elevated in prostate tissue with higher Gleason grades (grades 4 and 5) compared to normal (n = 16) and normal adjacent tissue (NAT, n = 16) (Fig. 4l, m).
