The overall distribution of intrahepatic immune cells per CD45+ population showed a tendency of higher frequency of CD8+ T cells in chronic infection (34.9% ± 2.2%) and chronic hepatitis (36.2% ± 2.8%) compared to control liver (27.0% ± 3.1%) and the NUC-treated HBV group (21.40% ± 3.6%) (Figure 1B). Here, CD8A is linked to chronic hepatitis.
