Apart from the positivity of anti-dengue IgG, many factors may influence the risk of developing dengue shock, including the DENV genotypes, the level of cytokines such as IL-6, IL-8, and anti-dengue IgM in the patient’s serum, and the primary subclass of anti-dengue IgG (anti-dengue IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, and IgG4) that developed in the patients during the course of the disease [37–40]. This evidence concerns the gene CD40LG and dengue disease.
