POMC and neoplasm: Most frequently, one of the components of multiple PTs is a growth hormone (GH)- or adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-producing tumor, while the other component includes tumors staining positive for prolactin, thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), and/or luteinizing hormone (LH), with confirmed multiple lactotroph tumors being rare among those (3-10).
